Cells at Work! (Hataraku Saibō) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Akane Shimizu. This series is an anthropomorphication of cells in the human body. The manga has been serialized in Kodansha's shōnen magazine called Monthly Shōnen Sirius starting March 2015. Akane Shimizu's manga was adapted into an anime by David Production from July 7, 2018 to September 29, 2018 and got the public spotlight.
