Popstar Dua Lipa's song “Levitating” is getting a new, more “clubbing” version with the help of two music legends Madonna and Missy Elliott. "Levitating" is a song from his second studio album, Future Nostalgia (2020). The song was written by Lipa, Clarence Coffee Jr., Sarah Hudson and Stephen Kozmeniuk, featuring Mike Myers in Austin Powers.

Production was handled by Koz and Stuart Price, and was derived from samples of the Roland VP-330 synthesizer played by the former. It is an electro-disco and nu-disco song with some disco tropes. It combines elements of dance-pop, pop-funk, power pop and space rock, as well as 1970s, 1980s and 1990s pop and R&B styles. The song will appear on the upcoming Club Future Nostalgia remix album, which the Grammy-winning British singer co-authored with music DJ / producer Blessed Madonna (formerly known as Black Madonna).

The remix version of “Levitating” changes the tempo of the song to a faster pace with Dua Lipa and Madonna harmoniously swapping verses on this tongue-twisting track. The beat for this song is no less suitable than Missy Elliott, who offers her new flirty and unique verse. For digital download and streaming on August 13, 2020 yesterday as the lead single from the remix album Lipa and The Blessed Madonna Club Future Nostalgia (2020). It's categorized as EDM, electro-disco, electro house, future bass, and techno tracks, with throwback disco and trance vibes, and a tempo that increases from the original.

The second remix featuring American rapper DaBaby was released for the same format on October 1, 2020 in promotion of the bonus edition Future Nostalgia, as the album's fifth single. The remix influenced the contemporary hit radio format in the United States on October 6, 2020, serving as the album's third single in the country. The remix has the same production as used in the original, with DaBaby adding a pop rap intro and verse. 

"Levitating" has so far reached number 9 on the UK Singles Chart and number 7 on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming Lipa's third top 10 single in the US. It also reached number 8 on the Billboard Global 200 chart.
