Stand by Me Doraemon 2 is a Japanese computer animated film adapted from the manga. This film continues the first sequel of Nobita and Doraemon in Fujiko F. Fujio's work returns to the big screen with its sequel, Stand by Me Doraemon. The film "Stand By Me Doraemon", which was released in 2014, made history as the most loved anime film that year. A very massive response from all over the world that has been waiting for the long story of the continuation of the film. Therefore, it is not surprising that the studio is tempted to develop a sequel.

The captains of "Stand by Me Doraemon", Ryuichi Yagi and Takashi Yamazaki, are ready to return to direct this sequel project. Where Yamazaki will also return to act to write the scenario "Stand By Me Doraemon 2". Toho as the studio that distributed the film officially released information on the sequel to this film. Broadly speaking, this film will feature Nobita (voice voiced by: Ohara Megumi) who one day finds a teddy bear that was hand-sewn by her beloved grandmother (voice voiced by: Miyamoto Nobuko).

This triggers a touching memory for Nobita and asks Doraemon (voice voiced by: Mizuta Wasabi) if they can use the time machine to visit their grandmother in the past.

Just like before, this time it is also presented in 3DCG animation technology. In the animated film "Stand By Me Doraemon 2", the director will present an animation taken from the original "Doraemon: Obachan No Omoide".

The film Stand by Me Doraemon 2 will air in Indonesia starting next February. After being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this film was finally released theatrically.
