After being postponed due to the still worrying COVID-19 pandemic, finally the anime "Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken" (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) confirmed that season 2 will air on January 5, 2021. The crew has prepared sufficient time to the production of the anime, but the state of emergency that was enforced some time ago throughout Japan affected anime production. The state of emergency in Japan itself was just lifted on Tuesday, May 26.

The anime's second season will also run in two separate quarters. The first quarter will air starting this January 2021 and the second quarter will continue airing in July 2021. "Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken" (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) received a manga adaptation in 2016 by Kawakami Taiki. The manga was translated into Indonesian by Elex Media in 2018 under the title Regarding Reincarnated to Slime.
